It all started back in 1997 at a local college.
A world famous architect was going to make a presentation at a neighboring
school, but nobody on our campus knew about it. The students were
sad that they had missed a presentation by such an important speaker.
And then it dawned on them; what if there were a website that listed
events at schools in the area... we would never miss an opportunity
like this again! And so the seeds of the CampusParty®
"empire" were sown. Today the site is home to tens of
thousands of current college events from schools large and small
across the country. We are working feverishly to build a community
that bridges campuses and tears down the walls.
It is one thing to reach the students, it is something
different to get them to act. We studied the models of all the national
college media companies and learned about the tools they used. We
determined which were effective and which were not. Then we began
reaching out to the students. We couldn't build a community without
them.
It didn't take long for us to catch the eye of
a Fortune 500 company that was also trying to reach the college
market. We put our heads together and came up with several media
types that could be used to effectively reach students. We now have
mature offerings, though our media is in a constant state of evolution.
It is important to note that what worked ten years ago to reach
students does not work now.
Some of our recent activities include the development of EventCards(tm)
unique approaches to postering and postcarding, different
ways to place newspaper ads and mobile event tours.
We've grown quite a bit since our early days. Today we are a profitable,
privately held corporation with headquarters in Pennsylvania and
agents across the US. Our clients include Activision, Army National
Guard, AT&T, Comcast, Exelon, GQ Mens Magazine, Hewlett Packard,
H&R Block, Marie Claire Magazine, Nivea, State Farm, Sprint,
TV Guide, United Technologies Corp, the US Navy, countless universities,
state governments and many, many others.
